Lingerie – It’s a Girl’s Best Friend!
It’s no secret that I’m not as young as I used to be and my body has taken a few hits. Three kids, relationship ups and downs, family drama, work drama and this roller coaster we call life…I’m hardly the size 5 I used to be in high school. Ahhh, who am I kidding? I’m no where near the size 5 I used to be! The good old days when I could wear what I wanted and not have to worry about Dunlap syndrome, my crack showing or the twins falling out. You know Dunlap syndrome…when your belly dun lapped over your belt…yeah not a pretty sight.
At first I struggled with my fluctuating weight. Oh I tried dieting but I flat lined on all of them. I tried girdles to hold it all in, but I prefer to be able to breathe when I walk. As my self-confidence began to deteriorate so did my so called sex life. We’ve all been there…even though our husband, spouse or significant other tells us we’re smokin’ hot we still don’t feel sexy. Sex life becomes a bad game of Jeopardy. I’ll have “Sex in the bedroom with the lights off” for 10 minutes please! Oh yeah and under the covers and you better not try any funny stuff buddy!
Well over the years I’ve come to the realization that I’m not getting back into a size 5 without a miracle or the winning lotto ticket so I can fly out to LA and let that sexy Dr. Rey do his magic. So I’ve learned to embrace my curves. Diet, schmiet…I love food too much so I’m going in another direction. My new bff is…wait for it…LINGERIE! That’s right good ole’ lingerie. It’s perfect because it’s always there to hide my imperfections or flaws. It covers up what I don’t like and accentuates my best assets. I’ve found that a little lingerie can add a lot of spice to your love life.
Most women think it’s a waste and that men don’t notice…BULL CRAP! They notice ladies…and they LOVE what they see! Would you rather have someone just plop your unwrapped birthday present on the table in front of you? Uh, NO! Where’s the fun in that, the element of surprise? You want to unwrap that bad boy and try to guess what you got! It seems for most of us the element of surprise has become extinct. It went out the window with my size 5 jeans! It’s called foreplay and I suggest you start taking advantage of it. A little role play in a cute nightie can be very erotic and help set the mood for a fun night. Stop traipsing around in a ratty old t-shirt. Pamper your self and put on a silky night-shirt or lacy bra set. Don’t think you have to do it for him…do it for YOU! Try different colors to help set your mood…a little purple for sophistication, red for some strength and passion, or white if you want to play the innocent role. Wear it while you’re relaxing and reading your favorite book or watching TV. Am I curvy…uh duh! Am I sexy…oh yeah! Am I proud…heck yeah!
